Our commitment

AllONDECK HUB believes every child has the right to take part in tennis in a safe, positive and enjoyable environment, free from abuse, harm, neglect and exploitation. The welfare of the child is paramount and overrides all other considerations, including commercial ones. We have zero tolerance for the abuse or mistreatment of children.

This page is a plain-English summary of our Child Safeguarding & Protection Policy. It applies to everyone who uses or represents the platform, our team, verified coaches, clubs, scouts, volunteers and tournament hosts.

Who this protects

A "child" or "minor" is anyone under the age of 18. Children may only be registered and managed on AllONDECK by, or with the verifiable consent of, a parent or guardian.

How we vet coaches

Before a coach can offer services to, or have contact with, children through AllONDECK, we take reasonable steps to confirm they are suitable, including:

• Identity verification (government ID) and confirmation of coaching credentials.
• References and verification of stated qualifications where practicable.
• A self-declaration of any relevant convictions or prior safeguarding findings, and, where available in the relevant country, a background / criminal-record check.
• Agreement to our safeguarding policy and code of conduct.

Verification is ongoing. We may re-check, suspend or remove anyone where new information raises a concern.

Guardian consent and control

Parents and guardians stay in control of their child's experience:

• Junior registration collects a date of birth, a guardian email, and supporting documentation (such as a birth certificate) to confirm age and parental responsibility.
• Guardian consent is required before a child's profile is made visible, before a child attends any session or event, and before any image or information about the child is published or shared.
• Guardians can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's data at any time.

Our code of conduct

Everyone working with children on AllONDECK must treat them with respect, put their welfare first, and keep professional boundaries at all times. In particular, they must never:

• Engage in any form of physical, sexual or emotional abuse, bullying or humiliating behaviour.
• Spend time alone, in private or unobserved, with a child beyond what is unavoidable, or take a child to their home.
• Develop a romantic or sexual relationship with a child, or share inappropriate content.
• Contact a child privately off-platform without guardian knowledge and consent.

Communication with children should stay on platform channels and be visible to a guardian wherever possible.

Data and online safety for minors

We minimise the personal data we collect about children and protect it under our Privacy Policy and applicable law (including the Nigeria Data Protection Act / NDPR). We do not publish a child's contact details, and messaging between players and coaches is mediated and visible to guardians.

Tournaments and in-person events

For any in-person event involving children, the host is responsible for a safe venue, adequate adult supervision, clear guardian drop-off and collection arrangements, first-aid provision, and a named on-site safeguarding contact. Hosts agree to our safeguarding policy before being listed.

Review
